5 tips for Akshara Haasan to conduct herself in public!

I saw Shruti Haasan’s younger sibling make her first ever public appearance yesterday at the trailer launch of Shamitabh.

Considering that this is the first time Akshara has stepped out for a public event, there is scope for improvement. Here are 5 tips I’d like to give Ms Haasan on how she can conduct herself in public in the future…

Watch how you sit

Sitting on elevated platforms or stages as photographers flash away below you can be tricky business. Always take a moment to figure out to sit in a way that won’t end up leaving you embarrassed once you see pics later on.

Don’t wear non-flash friendly material

It’s even trickier to pick out an outfit that photographs well. Pay heed to the material you are about to step out in, check how it looks under harsh lights and save yourself from a potential wardrobe malfunction.

Wear what you are comfortable in

Don’t try too hard to be sexy. You’ll make an incredible fashion statement with confidence, you don’t necessarily need revealing outfits for the same.

Decide on how to smile for cameras

Let’s face it, its not their natural smiles that stars flash for shutterbugs, its always a made up one. But a paparazzi-friendly star knows just which smile to put on that would make for a perfect picture. Spend some time with a mirror figuring out that perfect smile and you’ll never have to worry about looking awkward in pictures!

Be confident

Never let the cameras know that you are even the slightest bit intimidated by their presence. Internalize that you are under a scanner 24*7 but don’t make that knowledge clench you up if you see a lens-man. Be confident about yourself, stand up straight and charm every lens in the room!
