10 things that are common between Hrithik Roshan and Farhan Akhtar!

The two are best of friends too!

Farhan Akhtar and Hrithik Roshan share a lot more than just the trait of superstardom. Born a day apart, January 9 and 10, they appear to be similar personalities. Here’s looking at the 10 commonalities between the two:

Filmy families: Both Hrithik and Farhan belong to hardcore film families. Hrithik’s father is well-known actor-producer-director Rakesh Roshan. Farhan’s parents Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani are both writers.

Female Sibling: Both Farhan and Hrithik have a sibling each to whom they are deeply devoted. Farhan’s sister Zoya Akhtar is yet to direct a film that doesn’t star her brother. Hrithik’s sister Sunaina is the apple of her superstar-bro’s eyes. Her wish is his command.

Happy Birthday: Both attended the same birthday parties within the film fraternity. As kids they ran into each other annually at Abhishek Bachchan’s and Karan Johar’s birthday bashes. And also visited each other’s home regularly.

Gaane ke shauq: Both Farhan and Hrithik love songs and singing. While Farhan has pursued his passion to professionalism, Hrithik just loves to belt out tunes spontaneously. Not surprisingly, both played musicians in their acting debut Kaho Na…Pyar Hai and Rock On!

Papa’s boys: Deeply influenced by their fathers, both Hrithik and Farhan have worked closely with their dads before branching out on their own. Hrithik assisted papa Rakesh Roshan in Koyla. Farhan started his career in cinema learning screenwriting and poetry from his illustrious dad Javed Akhtar.

No interest in taking their success abroad: Interestingly, neither Hrithik nor Farhan seem much interested in taking their ample stardom to the West. Both have repeatedly turned down assignments in the West.

Alfresco types: If you really want to see these two superstars happy, send them off for a holiday in the mountains or by the sea. Do a real life Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara with the twosome and leave Abhay Deol out.

Ideal fathers: Farhan not only spends quality-time with his two daughters he makes sure he’s there for all their important events, from parents’ meets to birthdays. Ditto Hrithik. His track-record as husband may have blemishes. But as a father he’s next to none.
