Was it wise to shift Itti Si Khushi to the 12am slot?

We recently heard that Rajan Shahi’s newly launched show – Itti Si Khushi starring Smriti Kalra and Anuj Sachdeva is shutting shop. Apparently, the show is not faring as well as expected and is not delivering good numbers. So the channel told Kut Productions to end the show.

Now we also heard that the channel wanted to accommodate Marinating Films and Balaji Telefilms’ Box Cricket League and they needed an empty slot to fit it in. The recent update is that the channel instead of pulling the plug gave the show a new time slot – 12 am.

Now this is the first time in history when a show has been given the midnight time slot. Wethinks it is rather bizarre and extremely stupid to give any show such a weird timeslot. How many people will watch daily soaps at midnight? We don’t know what the makers were thinking of when they made this decision.

Anuj Sachdeva, who was earlier seen in Chhanchhan opposite Sanaya Irani, is extremely upset with the channel. In an interview the actor said that no one will watch the show if you give that time slot. Itti Si Khushi had just started picking up. The show has been unique and the makers were working extensively to make it click with the audience. Let’s hope the channel head honchos think again before they pass their verdict on the show.
