Just days before the music launch, the songs of upcoming Vijay Sethupathi film have been leaked
It has been a year of great headache for Tamil film producers, with many Tamil films being hit by plagiarism charges. Along with piracy threat, the producers have now become vary of online leaks. After Aascar Ravichandran’s I teaser leak which created quite a sensation, we hear that Vijay Sethupathi’s Idam, Porul, Eval music has been leaked online before official audio release.
The film also stars Vishnu and Nandita. Talking to leading daily, the distraught director Seenu Ramasamy said,” We worked so hard on these six songs. The songs have been leaked on the online medium. I still do not know how this happened. Apparently, the songs have been leaked on Friday and news about its leak began trickling in. They started sending the leaked tunes to me as well on What’sApp. Both Yuvan, the music director of the film, and Vairamuthu sir, who penned the lyrics for the songs, have expressed their disappointment and sadness at this unfortunate development.”
Currently the director is in talks with the producer on how to tackle the situation as the damage has been done. Time and again internet has proved that it is a double edged sword – which can enhance as well as destroy a film’s prospects.
