Sony Pictures have confirmed a limited theatrical release of the film on Christmas day!
Seth Rogen and James Franco’s The Interview seemed to be losing the battle with North Korean terrorists earlier when it was announced that the film’s release was cancelled following the controversy surrounding its plot. But SonyPictures have announced good news for the film and we hear that the film will be seeing a limited release tomorrow!
The film is based on a fictional assassination plot against North Korea’s fanatic leader Kim Jong-un. The North Korean leader had called the film “an act of war”. Even the FBI officially accused North Korean government’s involvement in the hack into the Sony Pictures computer system!
Seth Rogen who has co-written the film expressed his delight on Twitter, “The people have spoken! Freedom has prevailed! Sony didn’t give up! The Interview will be shown at theaters willing to play it on Xmas day.”
We hope that the film gets a release in India as well! Check out the trailer right here!
