Govinda, who won the Best Supporting Actor award for Yash Raj Films’ Kill Dil at the Stardust awards, chose to give the ceremony a miss despite being in town.
Just when we thought that Govinda is back in form and is quite serious about his otherwise sagging film career, the Entertainer no. 1 decided to spring a surprise – a bad one for the organisers, it seems.
In fact, Chi Chi had initially agreed to attend the ceremony but couldn’t make it for reasons best known to him. Fortunately, his Kill Dil co-star, Parineeti Chopra, who was present at the event, came to Chi Chi’s rescue and collected the award on his behalf.
