Ever since Sooraj married Sandhya, he has been supportive of everything she did, but the hijack incident really shook him up
Throughout the hijack episodes of Diya Aur Baati Hum , we saw a very calm and composed Sooraj (Anas Rashid), who knew exactly how to react and behave in such situations. Not once did he lose his cool or do anything impulsive. However, when Bhabho (Neelu Vaghela) got shot, Sooraj lost his capacity to think clearly.
Luckily, Bhabho has come out of surgery and is recovering at home. Suddenly, it strikes Sooraj that all the problems happened because his wife Sandhya (Deepika Singh) is an IPS officer and battles everyday with criminals and crimes. So such incidents are bound to happen again. He immediately sends her packing. Babasa (Ashok Lokhande) was already pissed with his daughter- in-law for not putting the safety of her mother-in-law and husband over her cop duty.
Sooraj throws Sandhya out of his house and tells her that he does not wish to come in between her dreams, but when it comes to his family and her dream – he will always choose the former. So is Sandhya not part of his family? Did she not put her life in jeopardy to save Bhabho and him? The couple will be seen missing each other and crying over it. In fact, they will pass by each other but not talk. However, we are waiting to see how things will turn out when Sooraj comes to the police station.
All said and done, this sudden attitude of Sooraj really irks us. Looks like the diya and baati no longer fit together. Finally there’s an interesting track in the show. Stay tuned to this space to find out what happens next!
