Since Bigg Boss is a family show, the kiss did not go down well with viewers
Diandra Soares shocked the masses when she locked lips with Gautam Gulati and that too in front of all the housemates in a recent episode of Bigg Boss 8. And though their lip lock might have boosted the TRP of nation’s most controversial reality show, but it has also landed the makers into legal trouble.
An activist from Pune has reportedly filed a written application against the makers of Bigg Boss 8 for airing the lip locking scene between Gautam and Diandra.
The activist in its application asked the producers not to show such sensational scenes on national television as it’s a family show.
Diandra and Gautam did kiss each other, but the makers only aired the part in which Diandra was seen coming to close to Gautam. Keeping in mind that it’s a family show, the makers didn’t really air the kissing scene.
No action has been taken against the makers of the show yet. A senior police inspector confirmed the news saying that they did receive an application, but the activist hasn’t filed a complaint against it.
“Yes, an application has been filed against Endemol production for showing the smooching scene. But it’s not a complaint; through a written application, the activist has just requested the makers of the show to not show such sensational scenes on national television as children are also watching it. We have already informed the makers about the same,” a senior inspector I.S.Patil from Lonavala Police Station was quoted by a portal.
Looks like we won’t get to see any more Diandra and Gautam’s intimate romance from now on.
Anyway, this ain’t the first time when the high voltage reality show has landed itself in a legal turmoil. Since its inception in 2007, the show has often got into legal hassles, and the ongoing season eight is no different.
