Vote for the Most Stylish Blockbuster of 2014…
Bollywood has given us some really big films in 2014 and no doubt, we have got a riot of splendor storming up. However, amidst all of its action, romance and biopic sips, how about sneaking into this impressive new section of films that looked and felt stylish? Yes! We are talking about flicks like Salman Khan’s Kick and Shah Rukh Khan’s Happy New Year. So, without wasting a minute, here you go with your list of most stylish films of 2014…
Kick
Coming first has to be our trendsetter Salman Khan’s high octane film, Kick. Co-starring Jacqueline Fernandez as his stunning arm candy, Kick made it to some humongous response right from its whistle-demand action, Jumma Ki Raat, the fan’s favorite superhero mask and the look flips of Salman’s double avatar. In fact, the train crossing scene where Salman jumps off his cycle and walks off with that attitude has been recorded as the ‘Most stylish sequence of Bollywood.’ So need we say more? Well, maybe his fans have already done their thing of mask share to train dare, right?
Khoobsurat
Next on the style file is Sonam Kapoor’s Khoobsurat that lived up to its khoobsurati in full swing. Blending in with a royally misfit love story, fashionista Sonam showed off her chic avatar. But what shone even more was this striking gleam that came from her heartthrob co-star, Fawad Khan. Oh! He was ultimate in complimenting his macho style and well, we missed a khoobsurat beat for all the love!
Bang Bang
Bang Bang explodes next. Starring Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif, this Siddharth Anand film had style written all over it. Starting from Hrithik’s Hollywood style action, to his MJ moves paring love with the gorgeous Katrina, Bang Bang made us go aww to awe, throughout the film. And also not to forget, we still have its groovy songs put on repeat…!
Haider
Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s Haider falls in next. Now one might be amazed to find this Vishal Bhardwaj’s dark masterpiece on our style file column! But let us testify. We are ranking its style in terms of the rich Kashmir essence that was been exploited to its optimum share. We are ranking the richness of the plot and its treatment that was been beautifully adapted from the Shakespearean play, Hamlet. We are ranking in terms of the Kashmiri attires sported by our star leads, Shahid and Shraddha. And of course, we are ranking its songs that boasted the ethnic Kashmir like never before.
Happy New Year
And last but not the least; we have Shah Rukh Khan’s Happy New Year celebrating the ‘Most Stylish Event Of The Year’. The film was as grand as its ensemble with biggies like SRK, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah boasting the do. And with that said, our marketing guru SRK too didn’t leave a stone unturned to promote this grandeur with World tour, SLAM-The tour! So in all, this Farah Khan directorial managed to rake in some huge business, huge entertainment and huge blockbuster for fans galore!
