If there’s one thing a stereotypical sweet, guy-next-door Bollywood hero needs to invoke that intense actor inside him, it’s a revenge story and Varun Dhawan seems to have found his. For after you watch the Badlapur trailer, you’re not going to believe that this man and that high school kid of SOTY could be the same person.
Badlapur trailer doesn’t really reveal what happens to Varun that changes him from an innocent and happy man (read: without a beard) into the fierce and violent man (read: with a beard and really red eyes) that’s all over the posters. But one thing we know is that revenge is the motive behind it all.
There’s only one thing that would run in your mind as long as you’re watching Badlapur trailer and that is all of it’s similarities with Haider. The way revenge changes a man and all the blood violence and killing that is involved and yes, all the older, talented actresses who steal the show.
