Tamil superstar’s upcoming flick is different from the rest of his films over the years. Find out why…
Rajinikanth‘s journey from a bus conductor to a superstar is stuff of a legend. After acting for over four decades now and reaching dizzying heights of super stardom, Rajinikanth has attained midas touch, turning everything into gold around him. As the fans of the superstar are awaiting with bated breath to catch Lingaa on big screen next month, we tell you why KS Ravikumar’s directorial is a special film in Thalaiva’s filmi career.
Lingaa which got cleared by the Censor Board with U certificate is all set to hit the screens on December 12, which also marks the birthday of quintessential style icon of Indian cinema, Rajinikanth. In his over 40 year long career, this is the first time when his film will be released on his birthday, dishing out a double treat for his fans. This makes Lingaa a special film for Rajini, as it celebrates his superstar stature by releasing on the day of his birthday.
The film’s director, KS Ravikumar posted on Facebook,”"Glad and happy to share #Lingaa movie is censored and Certified U. Get ready to watch the movie on our #superstar #Rajinikanth Birthday. MOVIE RELEASE ON 12TH DECEMBER 2014.”
But with the decision of plagiarism case on Lingaa still pending at the court, the fate of Lingaa seems to be hanging in balance. But with the history of such charges being raised and squished before a film’s release, we have no doubt that Lingaa will release on Rajinikanth’s birthday, making December 12, 2014 a memorable day for all Thalaiva fans.
