An NGO started a charitable cause for underprivileged children on social media yesterday which called for people to take selfies and upload the same on social networking websites like Twitter, Facebook or Instagram with the #EduSelfie and #CelebrateLife.
Bollywood celebrities also hopped on to the selfie bandwagon as they clicked themselves for a cause thus encouraging their fans to do the same. Among others it was Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Jacqueline Fernandez, Ileana D’Cruz and Nimrat Kaur who helped children with their selfies. Television actor Ravi Dubey also helped the initiative with a selfie! The initiative says that every 10 selfies with the #EduSelfie would sponsor 1 underprivileged kid’s education.
We hope that more Bollywood celebs follow suit and help the cause. Till then all you guys reading this can also upload a selfie and help a child get educated because every selfie counts!
