Television special: Karanvir Bohra, Shabbir Ahluwalia, Ravi Dubey – Who plays your perfect hero? Vote!

Daily soaps that are currently on air seem to be following a set formula that defines their heroes and heroines. From the brooding, intense men to the irritating brats – there’s all kinds of attributes that make them the perfect hero material

BollywoodLife decodes this formula; so read on to know more…

Brooding and Intense: They are rude, hate the concept of love and just don’t know how to talk to women. Now this is a common trait we’ve seen in all the brooding and intense heroes of tellyland. If you’ve observed carefully, every show produced by Four Lions Films’ has a brooding, serious, always angry, but dishy looking hero. Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon had Barun Sobti and in the sequel Avinash Sachdeva did the brooding, Qubool Hai had Karan Singh Grover and Karanvir Bohra. Gorky’s new show’s lead is the dark, sexy and intense Harshad Chopda in Humsafars.

Romantic @ Heart: Now this hero is the kind who will make the love of their lives feel on top of the world. Do everything just to see their better half smile. Plan elaborate and exquisite dates and buy gifts to make their day extra special. Now this reminds us of Jamai Raja’s Ravi Dubey and Ek Veer Ki Ardaas Veera ’s Baldev.

Protectors and Caretakers: Well who doesn’t like the macho boyfriend? While every hero is always the ideal protector of his lady love, these heroes have that extra something that makes them stand out. While they are their mother’s ideal sons, they can easily beat up 30 men to protect their girl. Vijayendra Kumeria aka Rajat from Shastri Sisters and Kanwar Dhillon from Hum Hai Na fit perfectly in this category.

Brats: We’ve noticed that in a lot Ekta Kapoor’s shows, she sketches her heroes as these arrogant and spoilt brats. Narcissism and arrogance are their prime qualities, but secretly they have a cute romantic side. Off late we’ve seen Shabbir Ahluwalia aka Abhi from Kumkum Bhagya, and Karan Patel aka Raman from Yeh Hai Mohabbatein sport these qualities.

Ideal Husbands: Now this is a category, where the heroes make the perfect husbands. They are humble, great listeners and belong to a progressive thought. They consider their wives as equals and make sure they are given the same respect. Now that’s every woman’s perfect man. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai ’s Naitik aka Karan Mehra, and Diya Aur Baati Hum’s Suraj aka Anas Rashid fit the bill to the T.

So vote and tell us BollywoodLifers, which of these attributes make the perfect hero according to you.
