The actor talks about his chemistry and his level of comfort with his co-stars
While most of his contemporaries have their ideal partners to make for an ideal onscreen jodi, Saif Ali Khan has, thus far, been exempted from the tag. Of course, his pairing with a new actress almost every time, can be largely credited for this.
When asked whether he prefers to work with new faces or with someone he’s comfortable with, Saif replied, “Comfort is normally the enemy. Strangers are always easier. But somebody who has always been a professional is easier as well.”
About working with his Happy Ending co-star Ileana D’cruz, the Nawab said, “I guess there are women that make you feel, for example working with Preity (Zinta) feels good, but working with Ileana is different. She is a sparkling actress. She is really, really good. And I thought I was good at this sort of a role because it is a world that I have kind of been in, but it really falls flat without the timing at the other end, which she has. She reminds me of Kajol and Rani except she is more Western”
Happy Ending that also stars Govinda and Kalki Koechlin, is slated to release on the 21th of November.
