Last year’s Mohanlal starrer Drishyam was a smash hit. Now, the original’s writer-director Jeethu Joseph will helm its Hindi version with Saif Ali Khan stepping into Lalettan’s giant shoes.
A little bird close to the Chhote Nawab chirps, “Saif is enamored with the script of Drishyam. He’s quite excited to start work on it. He knows that the film has the potential to change his image as an actor and his standing at the box-office. In fact, he wants to start shooting the film at the earliest and has asked the makers to roll soon.”
Incidentally, the film’s Tamil version is currently in the making and will be out soon while its Telugu and Kannada remakes have already fared well at the box-office. With such pedigree, it seems Saif has a winner on his hand.
