It’s only a week since the shooting of YRF’s Bank Chor has begun and there’s already some grand masti happening on the sets. This is the third comedy featuring Vivek Oberoi and Riteish Deshmukh together. With director Bumpy joining in, it looks like it’s more fun than work. Vivek jokingly refers to the film as their “threesome.”
Riteish plays Chandrakant Chiplunkar aka Champak, a common man and a fearless Maharashtrian. “There is an interesting story behind the robbery and my character faces a crisis in his life for which he decides to become a bank chor,” says, Riteish adding that he’s “in love with the plot and his character.”
It is also the first time that you’ll see Vivek Oberoi as a badass cop. He’s called Amjad Khan. No relations to Gabbar Singh. Vivek says Amjad Khan is a powerful CBI officer with a strong aura and presence.
Vivek says, “It’s a comedy but will not have any double meaning. In fact, this time, I’m the police and Reitesh is the chor. So, we are on the opposite sides.”
