Earlier this year Rani Mukerji stunned the audiences with her performance in the realistic film Mardaani. While the film garnered critical acclaim from the audiences and critics alike, there was much talk about the film undergoing numerous cuts for its television premiere.
In fact due to the film's violent content and language, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) was unwilling to clear it for television viewing. However, now we hear that the Board's revising committee has cleared the film with a U/A certificate facilitating its telecast on television after a particular nude scene was toned down.
Mardaani that released on August 22 this year, dealt with child trafficking, and was Yash Raj Film's first film to get an A certificate.
