Looking at Govinda completely steal the show in Kill Dil and Happy Ending, we were beginning to wonder why this super talented man was away from films for a whole of four years and then we stumble upon this interview of his where he explains just that!
Govinda revealed in this interview of his that the only reason he was away from films for four years is because he wasn’t offered any role at all. In his words, “I wasn’t away. The fact is, I did not get any offers. For four years, I was sitting at home doing nothing. Wahaan, I left politics, yahaan film line ne mujhe chhod diya! Nobody approached me.”
Apparently when he was offered the role of a villain in Kill Dil, he wasn’t sure he should take it up as it was a negative role and all of that but his wife gave him the push that he needed. And we’re so glad that he took it up because, who else can make it look as cool as Govinda can, right?
