Mahesh Babu to cut down his salary?

After the recent failures of mega budget star vehicles, the Telugu film producers are contemplating on cost cutting methods to reduce the risk of loss in future

South actors are paid well is a known fact. But the latest buzz coming from the Telugu film industry is that the leading actors, including Mahesh Babu, may take a pay cut!

Apparently, producers are reeling under their losses as many of these big budget flicks have not done well at the box office. In order to minimize their future losses it seems they are looking at not just cutting down production costs but even thinking about the salaries paid to directors and actors in their films.

Telugu cinema is known for its lavish scale of production including shoots at foreign locales. No cost spared was their motto but this may change soon. Apparently NTR Jr has cut down his salary by 20%. Now it remains to be seen if actors like Mahesh Babu follow suit.
