Dhanush to sing in Kannada?

The actor has become a singing sensation thanks to a number of hit songs he has crooned in the recent past

Music director Anirudh Ravichander introduced the singer in Dhanush with super hit number Kolaveri Di, which went on to become a worldwide sensation. Ever since then, Dhanush the singer has never looked back as he delivered back to back smash hits with his unique vocals. Now we hear that VIP star is planning to tread into Kannada film industry, to entertain the listeners with his singing talent.

Grapevine has it that the actor is now all set to lend his voice to a Kannada film. According to sources, the team of Vajrakaya, including director A Harsha, lead hero Shivaraj Kumar and music director Arjun Janya, are currently in Chennai to record a song featuring Dhanush. A source revealed that music director Arjun and Dhanush got acquainted through various public functions.

Rumour has it that Dhanush has given a nod to the Kannada song, which is said to be along the lines of Kolaveri Di. ” We have two sets of lyrics, which we took to him. He liked both and agreed to sing for us. Now, we have to figure out which version to use”, said a source close to the composer. If all goes well, we might here a Kannada number in Dhanush’s voice very soon.
