Daawat-e-Ishq has not turned out to be the yummy feast that it was intended to be. And the one who has apparently taken the setback most seriously is Aditya Roy Kapur, who, after Aashiqui 2, had quickly joined the list of A-lister stars.
According to friend of the actor, Aditya has taken the setback to heart.
Says the friend, "Aditya is a very emotional guy. He can't handle any kind of emotional upheaval. When it happens, he tends to withdraw from all social communication with friends and family. He likes to deal with a situation such as this on his own."
Apparently, Aditya has gone into a shell after the poor response to his performance in Daawat-e-Ishq.
Says the source, "He had his doubts about being able to carry off the Lucknowi Muslim chef's role. But nobody questions Aditya Chopra. When Adi Chopra offered the role to Aditya Roy Kapur, the actor expressed reluctance pleading the character was way out of his comfort zone. But Adi being Adi doesn't take no for an answer. He convinced Aditya Roy Kapur that was it was good for his career to move out of his comfort zone."
Apparently, Aditya is not too happy with the feedback he has received for his role.
Says the source, "He is depressed, yes. And now he has Fitoor, where again he will be required to get out of his comfort zone."
What the Dickens!
