From the great cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and successful actress Sharmila Tagore down to chhote nawab Saif, this khandaan comes from a long lineage of princely rulers of the Pataudi state.

MANSOOR ALI KHAN – A Gentleman Tiger
Top cricketer of his day, Mansoor Ali Khan served as the captain of the Indian cricket team. Fondly called Tiger, he was a dignified and uncontroversial man who was known for being a thorough gentleman. He was also conferred with the Padma Shri. Went on to marry Sharmila Tagore.
SHARMILA TAGORE – Talent Powerhouse
Popular actress and muse of Satyajit Ray at one time, she’s a versatile actor with a huge following. She was not simply a beautiful face but also a talent powerhouse. Achievements: winner of two National awards. Sharmila became part of the Pataudi family when she got married to Mansoor Ali Khan. They have three children.
SAIF ALI KHAN – Nawab of Bollywood
Eldest son, Saif followed in his mother’s footsteps and joined the film industry. He has taken risks throughout his career. His choice of films has been a mix of both masala entertainers and meaningful movies. Topped it with a National award, like mom. Saif married actor Amrita Singh with whom he has two children. They got divorced later. Now, chhote nawab is happily married to Kareena Kapoor.
SABA ALI KHAN – The Reticent One
The only sibling among the three to have resisted the glamour of the film world. A jewellery designer, she has always maintained a low public profile. That way, she’s more like her father.
SOHA ALI KHAN – From Banker to Bombshell
She was an investment banker before turning to Bollywood at the age of 24. It was a transition from a banker to a bombshell! Youngest among three siblings, she’s in a relationship with actor Kunal Khemu for over three years. Like big bro Saif, she has taken the road less travelled by opting for unconventional roles in Bollywood.
KAREENA KAPOOR KHAN – Beautiful Begum
The latest to have joined the Pataudi clan is Kareena Kapoor who married Saif Ali Khan in 2012. From her acting, to her thumkas, her fashion sense or Size Zero, whatever Kareena does makes it to the next day’s headlines.
