Who leaked Vikram’s Ai teaser?

One of the producer’s close aides was the brain behind the sensational leak of the teaser

While the buzz around Chiyaan Vikram’s sci fi flick, Ai, is slowly building towards its prime, the makers of the film had to deal with a serious case of piracy when a video copy of teaser was leaked on the internet. The leaked teaser was of very poor quality, and some believed that it was intentionally released by the makers for generating a hype around the film.

While the leaked teaser of Ai is trending over the social media, the producer Aascar Ravichandran seems to have got into damage control mode as he filed a legal complaint against one of his close aides. It is revealed that a miscreant named Vasan was the brain behind the leaked teaser. The producer revealed that Vasan, one of his trusted men, broke into his office in the night and recorded the teaser using a video camera.

If we go by Mr Ravichandran’s explanation, then what really puzzles us is why did the miscreant shoot the video from a good distance while he could have got a better quality copy if he had captured the video from near the television set. Thanks to the leaked teaser saga, Ai is getting all the hype that is required to take on Vijay’s star vehicle Kaththi on Diwali.
