The teaser of Vikram-Amy Jackson starrer has broken all records to become the first Indian film to cross more than 2 million views in a day
Ace director Shankar is back with a bang with the scintillating teaser of his latest magnum opus I starring Chiyaan Vikram and Amy Jackson. The teaser on Sony Music India’s YouTube channel has clocked over 2 million views in 24 hours, the fastest for even a Bollywood film, a feat achieved by no Indian director before.
Ashok Parwani, Head South , Sony Music India said, “This is a first for us too, we have not witnessed such a huge pick up for any trailer. I will set new benchmarks across film industry’s and we are proud to be associated with the magnum opus.” The music launch in Chennai was the talk of the nation with Hollywood Star Arnold Schwarzenegger as the chief guest at the spectacle. The evening witnessed a bevy of stars from the film industry. Grammy Award winner A R Rahman‘s music had the stadium of 5000 fans mesmerised. Additionally the suave actor Vikram’s performance left everyone spell bound.
If you jog your memory a little, Thalaiva Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiyaan teaser had crossed nearly 1 million views in 24 hours. While it is startling for many filmy pundits that Vikram’s flick has surpassed Rajini’s frenzy, we thinks it is the deadly combo of Shankar-Vikram which has managed to hoodwink the viewers . It would be interesting to see how long can Vikram’s I hold the record with many big films like Vijay’s Kaththi and Ajith’s Thala 55 ready to unleash their respective teasers.
