Yash Raj Films has done it again. They've shifted the release date of their Parineeti Chopra-Aditya Roy Kapoor starrer Daawat-E-Ishq one more time, this time from September 5 to September 19. While a clash between the two cousins Parineeti and Priyanka Chopra (the latter's prestigious Mary Kom releases on September 5) has thereby been averted, another clash is now brewing between the two buddies,AnupamKher who plays a pivotal part in Daawat-E-Ishq and Anil Kapoor whose daughters Rhea and Sonam are the producer and lead actress of Khubsoorat, the film which releases alongside Daawat-E-Ishq on September 19.
Says an insider, "Anil Kapoor kobahotpareshanihui sun kar. He never expected Daawat-E-Ishq to be pushed forward to clash with his daughters' film.Anil knows Yash Raj has the clout to block as any screens as possible for Daawat-E-Ishq. This doesn't leave Khubsoorat with much breathing space on September 19."
Anupam and Anil are close friends and Anupam's wife Kirron Kher plays a pivotal role in Khubsoorat.
A clash of this sort is just not what Anupam or Anil would have wanted. But now that it seems inevitable, word from the Khubsoorat team is that they plan to pull out all stops for the last of leg of publicity and promotion before release.
Says a source close to Khubsoorat, "KirronKherji would be roped in very prominently to stand tall up against her husband who stars in Daawat-E-Ishq. They both have very powerful roles in the two films that clash on September 19."
