Censor board decides to allow the word ‘virgin’ in Finding Fanny!

Only yesterday, Censor Board’s decision of not having the word ‘virgin’ in Finding Fanny miffed everyone who was a part of the movie and in just one day, the members seemed to have softened up to the whole thing! They took back their rule and decided to let them have the word ‘virgin’ in Finding Fanny.

So what was it that made them ease up to it all? A mere letter from Homi Adjania. Yes, Adjania, the director of Finding Fanny sent a letter to the Censor board requesting them to let the word be there as they did not object to it being in the trailer and they said okay to it.

This is what Homi, who is now happy, was found saying, “When we went for the Hindi dub, we sent a mail to Leela Samson stating our case. We were not objecting to the cut, we were just confused by the contradictory action because the line had been passed earlier in the trailers. We wanted some clarity on the issue. She agreed with us that if it had been passed earlier, continuation should be maintained. It’s a positive sign.”

Leela Samson, the Censor board member also admitted to making a mistake and said something like this, “The makers were justified in their request. It was a mistake which needed to be rectified. I took the necessary step.”

..And that’s how the word ‘virgin’ finally found its place in Finding Fanny!
