Uncrowned mogul of epic/period blockbusters, Ashutosh Gowariker is all set for a TV comeback with his ambitious series Everest on Star Plus. As the title suggests, this one’s all about conquering Mount Everest. Thank god, it sounds like a much-needed break from all the daily slog of the kitchen politics drama.
Everest is about a girl who wants to make her army officer Dad proud by climbing the Everest. “Kitchen politics is very interesting. I’m sure the audience loves the saas-bahu sagas that go on for a long time. But I request them to please make some time for our show,” Gowariker says, tongue firmly in cheek.
Now, here’s another reason to watch the show – it’s got AR Rahman’s outstanding soundtrack.
