While Rani Mukerji’s latest release, Mardaani has been going steady at the box office with each passing day despite the movie getting an A certification from the Censor Board, Rani at a press conference held yesterday, stated she’ll make effort to re censor Mardaani.
Though one would’ve expected Rani’s close friend Aamir Khan to come in her support and fight against the Censor Board for re censoring Mardaani, that surprisingly didn’t happen.
At the launch of Satyamev Jayate’s new season today when Aamir was asked about Mardaani and her decision to approach Censor Board, Aamir said, “I wouldn’t want my children to see Mardaani,” adding, “I saw Mardaani and I liked the film. Rani has done a fabulous job. The film has some disturbing scenes and language in some scenes like finger cutting scene is not suitable for children who are not 18 years old. It creates a bad impression on them. I respect Rani and she’s been a very close friend of mine. Whatever I said about Mardaani is my personal belief. What Rani feels and wants to do is her call.”
