From international dance forms to a new judge, there are surely lot of things that are ‘alag‘ in the seventh season of India’s most loved celebrity dance reality show

You’ve seen them dance, you’ve seen them pirouette, you’ve seen them leap and perform aerial stunts. But don’t think you’ve seen it all just yet! With a brand new season of Jhalak Dilkhhla Jaa all set to hit the television screens very soon, the stakes have been upped and the challenge is to showcase something ‘alag’ this time. So how exactly is this season going to be different?

Well, as we have already told you, this time the audiences will be introduced to some unusual and unheard of dance forms like Capoeira, Zouk, Bolero and many more from all the corners of the world. And since the show has gone kind of global this year, the makers have roped in Ukranian ballroom dancer and winner of the international Dancing with the Stars, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who will join Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Karan Johar and Remo D’Souza on the jury panel. But hey, this is not the only change as a lot of new things are happening this time around. Here are all the new things that the viewers will get to witness in JDJ 7…

Madhuri kicks away her desi avatar: The woman known for her latkas-jhatkas-and-thumkas, Madhuri Dixit-Nene makes her come back, albeit in a sexier, hotter look which is sure to set hearts racing faster than ever as she shakes a leg to some new dance forms.

Remo goes casual: The ace choreographer and director will be seen sporting a grunge look to go with his surly demeanor and he promises to be the one the contestants would be well advised to be wary of.

KJo pledges that he will not to dance: The Kuch Kuch Hota Hai director will not shake a leg with contestants, co-judges, hosts or even his celebrity guests on Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa this year. Karan, who has often entertained the JDJ team and his Bollywood friends with his fun dance moves thinks that he has made a national embarrassment of himself by shaking a leg.

Ranvir Shorey and Drashti Dhami as hosts: Last season’s winner Drashti Dhami and actor Ranvir Shorey, who was last seen in Fear Factor:Khatron Ke Khiladi 5 have replaced Manish Paul and Kapil Sharma as hosts.

Bappi Da Shoes: Let’s just say if a celebrity contestant manages to impress the judges, he/she will be rewarded with a pair of Bappi Da Shoes. Yes, that’s what they are called. Because they are full of bling.

The Immunity Ball: The celebrity-choreographer jodi who gets the highest point will be awarded with this thing called The Immunity Ball. The same golden disco ball, which has become synonymous with JDJ. The ball will immune the highest rated duo from the eliminations.

Jhooter: This is the JDJ version of KJo’s lie-o-meter from Koffee with Karan. So whenever someone tell lies, the filmmaker will press the buzzer. So there is no room for lies at all.

Salman Yussuf Khan and Lauren Gottlieb as adversaries: Upping the ante this season, audience favourites Salman Yusuff Khan and Lauren Gottleib will take on the role of adversaries and join hands to challenge contestants in an exciting dance combat.

Comedian Sudesh Lehri to add the fun element: To ease the tension on the floor, popular comedian Sudesh Lehri has been roped in to provide the much needed comic relief.

Eleena – The Firang Beauty – This time the male contestants will get a chance to have this foreign import as their partner. But who will be that lucky one? Well, we’ll know soon.
