Remakes have worked well almost every time in Bollywood. The senti dialogues, the typical south music, knives and goons etc have done wonders at the Box Office. Yes, some remakes have been miserable but here we are to have a look at some remakes that have done quite well. What we are looking at is latest south remakes with south Indian actresses in it.
Singham
Singham is one film that did magic at the Box Office. The film starred Ajay Devgn and South heroine Kajal Aggarwal. This was Kajal’s debut film. The film is a remake of a Tamil blockbuster film Singam.
Ready
The film’s lead hero Salman Khan did a fabulous job of making you fall in love with him again. This is a remake of a Telugu film with the same title Ready. The actress of the film is Asin, another south lady.
Force
John Abraham is seen as a cop in the film that is a remake of Kaakha Kaakha. He is seen romancing Genelia DSouza in Force. She was a big sensation down south before she decided to move to Bollywood.
Ghajini
Asin was the leading lady in the Tamil and Hindi version of the film Ghajini. The film title was the same in both languages. While Surya starred in the original, Aamir Khan was the choice for the remake.
Khatta Meetha
Khatta Meeta was a disaster in Bollywood. One wouldn’t even remember the film starring Akshay Kumar and South diva Trisha Krishnan. The film did so bad that poor Trisha never saw Bollywood’s light again. This film was a remake of Vellanakalude Nadu.
Heropanti
The latest to join the list is Heropanti. The film is a remake of Telugu hit Parugu. In this film newcomers Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon will be seen opposite each other. Kriti is new to BTown but has done a hit film in Tollywood already.
