And its all about loving your parents. The story of the film revolves around the relationship between parents and childen. The film has a host of actors including Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor. K3g was 2001′s biggest blockbuster.

Kal Ho Naa Ho stars Shahrukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles. This film was not directed by Karan himself but was produced and written by him. KHNH tasted success internationally and nation wide. The film went on to win several Filmfare Awards and National Awards.

After close to seven years Karan Johar took the directors chair and once again his best couple SRK and Kajol were paired together for this film. My Name Is Khan failed to do as excellent as K3G and Kuch Kuch Hota Hain did but nevertheless Shahrukh-Kajol’s chemistry and Karan’s direction made the film do well.


Student Of The Year- Writer and Director

This film wasn’t as successful as the previous films but the very fact that Karan Johar had directed a film after years made this Student Of The Year a huge topic for discussion. This film did not have Shahrukh Khan or Kajol or any of his lucky mascots. In fact, he chose to rope in three newcomers- Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra for this film.
