After Kareena Kapoor, Karan Johar distances himself from Imran Khan?

Imran has always shared a great rapport with KJo and duo has worked together in three films so far. But their last collaboration Gori Tere Pyaar Mein failed miserably at the box office and this seems to have affected their friendship…

After Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na, Imran Khan delivered two back-to-back flop films – Kidnap and Luck. While Aamir Khan’s bhanja was written off by most critics, Karan Johar came to his rescue back then. The talented filmmaker offered him I Hate Luv Storys which also starred Sonam Kapoor in the lead. The romantic drama turned out to be a hit and Imran was back in the race. Imran and Karan once again teamed up for Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu and this time the latter’s favourite heroine Kareena Kapoor Khan played the female lead. For the second time Johar and Avantika Malik’s hubby dearest tasted success at the box office. After this fruitful outing, Dharma Productions head honcho signed Bebo and the Luck actor for his production venture Gori Tere Pyaar Mein which released last year. Sadly, GTPM bombed at the BO and the lead pair had to face the heat for the same. With this disaster, KJo distanced himself from Saif Ali Khan’s wifey in no time and now Imran is getting similar treatment. We hear Aamir’s new found dost and his nephew aren’t on talking terms nor Karan has offered any project to his once-upon-a-time blue eyed boy. In fact, the Bombay Velvet baddie even skipped Avantika’s baby shower. When a leading tabloid quizzed the Delhi Belly star about the same, he quickly snapped back, “You should be asking this question to Karan and not me.”

Guess things are really bad between Imran and Koffee with Karan host, hai na? Well, we understand why the filmmaker-turned-actor hasn’t approached AK’s bhanja for any of his films as of now. After all, making movies is a business at the end of the day. So any smart filmmaker would want to sign a star that would get cash registers jingling, no? As for ignoring Imran, it’s unfair to blame just the actor for a flop. Isn’t story supposed to be the hero? Maybe the Dhoom:3 baddie will play peacemaker between these two coz we all know Mr Perfectionist and KWK host have become good buddies lately.

We certainly hope that’s the case at least for the sake of Imran’s filmi career!
