Will Bombay Velvet, Bombay Samurai makers have troubles with the title?

Back in 2009, there was a huge hue-and-cry about the fact that the word Bombay was being used instead of ‘Mumbai’ in director Karan Johar’s film ‘Wake Up Sid’. Karan Johar had to make attempts at peace with Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS)

Whats interesting is that, this year, not one, nor two, but three movies have Bombay in their titles and it’s to be pronounced as Bambai!

One is Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet, while the other is Dev Benegal’s Bombay Samurai, which reportedly has Farhan Akhtar and Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead. And the third is Vibhu Puri’s Bambai Fairytale, starring Ayushmann Khurrana.

Hope these makers do not have to rethink their titles or go through any sort of torture!
