Ranbir Kapoor to play himself in Bhootnath Returns

The upcoming comedy horror film Bhootnath Returns, stars Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, Anurag Kashyap and National Award-winning actress Usha Jadhav and is directed by Nitesh Tewari; who had earlier directed Chillar Party.

There were reports taht Ranbir Kapoor, who did a special appearance in the song Tai Tai Phiss in the film Chillar Party, will do a cameo role in Bhootnath Returns. Now, the makers have confirmed it. Says Bhushan Kumar, who is co-producing the film, “Yes, that’s true. Ranbir will be playing himself.”

Ranbir Kapoor’s friendship with the producers is what prompted him to do this cameo role; according to a source. “Ranbir has known Abhay (Abhay Chopra, the co-producer of the film) since they were in school together,” says a source close to the family
