TV’s favourite young couple has been married for a while and could be having another baby. Will this being the family even closer together?
Akshara (Hina Khan) and Naitik (Karan Mehra) Singhania have been married for a few years. They have a child, Naksh (Shivansh Kotian), who is a naughty five-year-old. The couple has gone through a lot, from misunderstandings to a separation to a state of happy togetherness. And they are supported big time by both their families. Along the way, they go through various experiences that are true to real life – Naksh is taught the value of money and the need to celebrate Diwali without too much noise of pollution, Akshara is stalked and assaulted, Daddaji has incipient Alzheimer’s, there are business wins and losses and now one of the younger generation in the Maheshwari (Akshara’s parents) clan is in love with a girl from another community…But life goes on.
And in this happy melange of good, bad and realistic, Akshara shows the classic symptoms of a new pregnancy. With all the stress of trying to understand and deal with her brother Anshu’s romance with a Punjabi girl, Jasmeet, she starts feeling uneasy and bilious. In a nicely modern plotline, the Singhania bahu talks to her husband about having another baby, pregnancy tests, managing a second child and getting fat. Producer Rajan Shahi seems to understand the need to be realistic but still grab eyeballs – we like! Akshara will soon find out whether she is indeed expecting a new baby and the two will dream happy dreams about it, we know. And we wait to see what happens next…
