Picture Shuru Productions will be making their debut as a production house ‘Jagga Jasoos’, a joint venture of Ranbir Kapoor and director Anurag Basu, will see the actor play an 18-year-old desi Sherlock Holmes who ages through the film.
On Thursday, at an event in Hyderabad, Ranbir confirmed this saying, “Yes, I am playing an 18-year-old in ‘Jagga Jasoos’.” Shooting will start today in a heavily guarded set in a city studio as the makers don’t want the ‘look’ to be out. A source told us that Ranbir is really kicked about playing a teenaged sleuth.
“It’s a detective film targeting children too and RK has discussed the role with Anurag at length over the last few months, fine tuning the character.” The source added, “The film is being planned as a franchise with the protagonist Jagga Jasoos being the film’s USP. RK has lost a lot of weight to look the part.”
