Ram-Leela gets a new title, will now be called Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela

Bhansali renamed his film’s title a day prior to its release after a petition was filed against the the makers for offending Hindu sentiments

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s has changed the title of his forthcoming film for the second time. The Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone has been renamed to Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela. Earlier, the film was titled Ramleela which was later changed to Ram-Leela . In his recent statement to the media, the maverick filmmaker clarified that his film had nothing to do with Lord Ram. He said “It appears that some misinformation is being carried out regarding the said film (Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela) which we would like to clarify and state that the said film is inspired and based on William Shakespeare’s work Romeo and Juliet.”

After battling a lot of issues, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film will finally hit the theatres tomorrow. While the film has grabbed a lot of attention due to wrong reasons, we hope it doesn’t affect it’s box office collection. We wonder if the change in film’s title will affect the film’s success. For now all of you who have been awaiting to see the sizzling chemistry between Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh can go catch the film with a brand new title – Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela!
