Raj Thackeray comes out in support of Bollywood

An ardent movie lover himself, Raj Thackeray has come out in support of Bollywood fraternity against some of his own party members, who have apparently in the recent past harassed a few filmmakers. The MNS chief issued a letter stating that a strict action will be taken against his party workers who attack the Bollywood industry errantly.

The letter stated that apart from instances where the pride of the state of Maharashtra is being compromised, filmmakers will be given full freedom in terms of making films and that their crew or cast won't be harassed unnecessarily by any party worker of the MNS party. Along with such instances of vandalism and hooliganism, the chief has also proclaimed that any monetary demands being made by anyone posing as a MNS party member should be reported. However, Raj has also warned the filmmakers that none of them should hire foreign actors without a valid visa as it may pose as a security threat.

Recently, a few cases of attacks were reported against the party after some members were accused of ransacking studios and even stalling the release of certain films.
