We just heard the very popular and even more funny actor-comedian who plays Gutthi from Comedy Nights with Kapil will soon be leaving the prime time laughathon. Yes, according to a little birdie who flew straight to our office from the western suburbs of Mumbai city, Sunil Grover and K9-SOL Productions, who make the much-loved show, will soon part ways. And it’s all about payment. With his fast-increasing popularity, Sunil decided to hike his fee. And he firmly believed that he would get what he demanded, which is what he feels he deserves. But no, nahin, nada, no go. The production house and the channel did not agree with him and that is why he has stopped shooting for the show, our khabroo insists. Will he come back to Comedy Nights with Kapil ? Unlikely, we thinks, not unless he gets what he wants.
And perhaps Sunil is entitled to his demands and an increased remuneration. After all, wherever Gutthi goes, giggles follow, hai na? Also, we hear that the bada pardah is calling him loud and clear.
