In a unique initiative by the Mumbai Police, the commissioner Satyapal Singh met with the elite of Bollywood; to discuss how cinema can be used as a tool to curb violence; specifically, violence against women in the country. Enhancing the image of Mumbai Police was also the agenda of the meeting.
The celebs who attended the meeting included actors, directors, script writers, producers and channel heads like Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ashutosh Gowariker, Mahesh Bhatt, Javed Akhtar, Subhash Ghai, Rakesh Roshan, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Karan Johar among others.
This is perhaps a chance for our on-screen heroes to be off-screen heroes too…
