When Soha Ali Khan decided to change her career

Remember how mommy dearest is upset with Soha Ali Khan’s choice of career and wants her to study further and become a lawyer instead of an actress? Yeah, that’s right. Sharmila Tagore feels that Soha Ali Khan should study instead of being an hot actress.


Now you would think, when she can be a pretty actress, why should she be anything else? It’s because she is very brainy and can get get into the top universities given her resources and talent.


We all know her family background. She was born to Bollywood beauty Sharmila Tagore and crickter and Nawab Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi on 4 October 1978 in New Delhi. She is the youngest of the lot and has an older brother, Saif Ali Khan and a sister Saba Ali Khan.


Soha Ali Khan was a very studious kid and was the brightest in her class, right from the start. She went to the

The British School, in New Delhi and later studied geography at Balliol College at the Univertsity of Oxford in United Kingdom. Soha Ali Khan didn’t stop at that and got herself a Masters degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science.


When Soha returned to India she started working at Citibank as a banker and also worked at Ford Foundation. She also took part in several activities and served on the Advisory Board for the public entrepreneur group, Res Publica.


One fine day, Soha decided to have a change in career and ventured into acting. She made her debut with Dil Maange More in 2004. The movie did well at the box office but wasn’t a block buster. Her major breakthrough was in Rang De Basanti where she played the role of Madhavan’s girl friend. Post Rang De Basanti she did many movies like Tum Mile, Dil Kabaddi, Khoya Khoya Chand, Mumbai Cutting. She is currently working for three movies which will all release next year.
