Sanjay Dutt’s Jail sentence to be shortened?

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt who is currently out of jail on a furloughfrom the Yerawada prison celebrated the Karwa Chauth festival with his wife Manayata on October 22nd at his home. The actor is on furlough for health reasons. After this month ends, Sanjay Dutt has to get back to Jail.

While the 54-old-actor has been on a leave from the prison in Pune, there has been some development on his case. The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has told the Maharashtra government to reduce Dutt’s sentence. The reason being, humanitarian grounds. The actor was given a five-year long imprisonment for possession of illegal firearms during the 1992 Mumbai blasts.

We hear that the Union Ministry has done this because of the goof conduct shown by Sanjay Dutt in the jail. It has also been confirmed that neither Sanjay, or his wife had applied for this plea.

So if this whole process goes smoothly and if the respective authorities give a nod, we may see Sanjay out of the jail sooner than expected. Danjay Dutt has movies like P.K, Ungli, Total Dhamaal, Hera Pheri 4, Hasmukh Pighal Gaya lined up in 2014. We wonder if Sanjay Dutt will be able to see these movies hitting the theaters. It would be intresting to see by how many months will Sanjay Dutt’s Jail sentence wil be shortened by.. if at all it does that is.
