Members of the Kshatriya community ransacked a mall in Rajkot (Gujarat), protesting against the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming movie Ram Leela. Citing the reason that the movie portrays Rajputs in a bad light, the protesters burnt effigies of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and broke glasses and furniture at the mall because there were posters of the film at the mall. Demanding changes in the film, they also wanted Sanjay Leela Bhansali to apologize to the community. Looks like there is danger surrounding Ram Leela release…
Meanwhile on another note, the leading man of the film Ranveer Singh reportedly wants to reunite with his alleged ex girlfriend Anushka Sharma; on screen. Talking to a leading daily about Sharma, Ranveer said he wants to do another film with her. She is somebody who was born to be a performer. She is somebody who makes me a better actor”, Singh told the daily and added that she is the best actress he has worked with so far.
Supriya Pathak, who plays a major supporting role in the movie, spoke about Bhansali and said “Both, Sanjay and I, loved my character Dhankoraba. He gives you creative freedom to work on your character and thus, the opportunity to do full justice to the role. He is also a very warm person and one can relate to his vision and ideas very easily.”
The movie, which is an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, releases on November 15.
