Akshay Kumar’s Gabbar, is a remake of the 2002 Tamil movie Ramanna. The movie stars Akshay Kumar in the lead role and is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Shabina Khan. There were rumours that Kareena Kapoor will play the female lead in the movie. The Heroine heroine denied that and said she is only doing a cameo in the movie.
The film, which is directed by Radhakrishna Jagarlamudi, stars Shraddha Kapoor in the lead, revolves around a group of students lead by a professor who opts for violent means to fight a corrupt system. Kareena Kapoor will do an item song in the film which is scheduled to go on floors in January 2014.
