When big movies are on the verge of release, controversies are bound to happen. The same is the case with Krrish 3. A writer from Madhya Pradesh has filed an FIR against Krrish 3 alleging copyright violation of the script and the writer has even asked the court seeking a stay on the all India release of the film this Friday unless he was given a compensation of a whopping amount of Rs 2 crore.
Uday Singh Rajput, a resident of Sagar district in Madhya Pradesh, filed a petition claiming he had written the script titled ‘Krrish-2′ which was a sequel to Krrish part 1. However, he said he was being denied any credit what-so-ever for writing the story.
Rakesh Roshan, producer of Krrish-3 too has also filed a caveat in the High Court urging that no relief should be granted to Uday Singh Rajput unless he (Roshan) is heard in the matter.
Both the parties will be heard tomorrow by Justice S J Kathawala. Rajput claims that he had registered his script titled Krrish-2 with the Film Writers Association on July 23, 2008. After that, he met Roshan and gave him the script. Roshan had promised him that if he used the script he would pay him the deserved amount. However, instead of paying him, Rakesh Roshan used the very same script for the sequel of Krrish, Rajput alleged.
The petitioner further said that Rakesh Roshan has marketed the movie saying he was the story writer of Krrish-3, however, when submitted a written document in court, Roshan has stated that the story is written by Rubin Bhatt and the script was registered on March 3, 2011.
With Krrish 3 to release on November 1, the hassels, progress and the hype is for sure ensuring that the movie ‘Krrish 3′ is always in audiences mind and will stay there for a long time. Well, given the massive budget of the movie, if the writer is said to be true, they should have given him his due credit!
