A few days ago, we wrote about Saif Ali Khan promoting his forthcoming movie Bullet Raja by releasing a comic book based on the characters in the movie. Looks like the trend is catching on very quickly. Now, Akshay Kumar’s forthcoming film Boss has a tie up with the iconic cult comic Chacha Chaudhary. This special edition of the comic will be released in Delhi by Akshay Kumar.
Being a huge fan of this comic, Akki said, “I have been a fan of Chacha Chaudhary and Sabu since my childhood. I feel honored that my character of Boss will now be featured alongside them in a special comic book.”
When asked about the tie-up of Boss with Chacha Chaudhary, Head of Marketing of Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, Rudrarup Dutta said, “Diamond Comics’ Chacha Chaudhary is a legendary Indian character, an entire generation has grown up reading it. This special edition will have Boss - Akshay Kumar join the team to vanquish their enemies. Apart from a unique medium which connects with the target audience, especially children to promote the film, it also is a matter of pride to be part of this ‘collector’s edition’ of one of the most loved Indian comic books.”
Boss will face fierce competition from the movie Besharam, which released yesterday. Will this help in bringing audiences to the theaters?
