Amitabh Bachchan was more popularly as the angry young man of the 70′s. If you look at his movies from that time period, you’ll notice that most of the roles that he did were filled with so much of contempt, hate, unresolved conflicts to some extent. He either was a strict law abiding citizen and the extreme opposite and opposed rules and played with law. Amitabh Bachchan to this date his remembered for his on screen persona, his amazing dialogue delivery and his spontaneous acting. This week, we will be blessed with another one of his movies, Satyagraha also starring Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Ajay Devgn. Let’s go back and relish some of his mind blowing dialogues.
5 greatest dialogues of Amitabh Bachchan
Shahenshah
Rishte me to hum tumhare baap lagte hain, naam hai Shahenshah. The dialogue was maybe very short hardly a few words but it leaves a long lasting impact on the viewer. Dialogues like these made him what he is today. A legend!
Lawaris
Here’s a scene where he is challenging a guy from the upper class of the society. Amitabh Bachchan is pissed beyond belief by the atrocious behavior displayed by the upper class. He threats to whack the guy in cases he shows up. A dialogue from this scene which took the country by the storm was Agar apni maa ka doodh piya hai to saamne aa.
Zanjeer
He plays the character of a strict cop. A guy who is determined to wipe the society off the dirty cirminals and drug lords. Sher Khan visits him and gets a little too free and then bam! The angry young man flips and says, Yeh tumhare baap ka ghar nahin, police station hai, is liye seedhi tahrah khade raho
Don
An epic movie, an epic scene. There are no words or phrases to define this scene. Words escape me when I look at the perfection of this scene and how Amitabh Bachchan played it cool despite the million cops surrounding him. Don ko pakadne ki koshish 11 mulkhon ki police ka rrahi hai Sonia, lekin Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahi, naamumkin hai.
Deewar
Ooooh!! Burnnn! Davar Sahab doesn’t learn, does he! Vijay aaj bhi pheke hue paise nahi utha ta
