Salman Khan all the way

2011 has been a Salman Khan year in Bollywood. With blockbusters like `Ready` and `Bodyguard` to his credit, the superstar turned out to be one of the most talked about celebs in the field of entertainment. And TV reality show `Bigg Boss 5` acted as an icing on cake for the diehard fans of this `Dabangg` star.

`Bodyguard` did brisk business on the day of release and became the highest opening day grosser as well as the biggest grosser ever for a single day until then. With a collection of 229 crore (US$46.44 million) worldwide, `Bodyguard` holds the record of Bollywood`s second highest-grossing film ever.

`Ready` grossed over 121,25,00,000 and has become the fourth highest-grossing film of all time. Both `Ready ` and `Bodyguard` raked in the moolah with back-to-back business of Rs 100 crore and plus.

And not to forget Salman’s stint in the fifth season of TV reality show `Bigg Boss`. He was roped in to co-host the show with Sanjay Dutt and his name alone helped producers garner decent TRP
