November 14, 2011, (Sawf News) - Looking lean and fit, Salman Khan triggered a media frenzy as he arrived at DY Patil Annual Achiever's Awards event at Hotel Taj Lands End in Bandra, Mumbai on Sunday, November 13.
The 45-year-old star was honored with a jury nominated Entertainment Award in recognition of his charity work with the Being Human Foundation.
Children from the foundation gave a dance performance during the event and Salman Khan, dressed in jeans and tee shirt, joined them on stage to encourage them.
Salman looked immaculately primped, clean shaven with short cropped hair. He wore his signature casual look – a Being Human polo shirt (purple colored), black dress shoes, turquoise studded bracelet and a matching buckle leather belt.
Salman replied to media questions with uncharacteristic patience and restraint on arrival at the venue.

Apart from his facial nerve treatment in the US in late August, Salman was away from India for a total of 75 days for the shoot for Kabir Khan's YRF production Ek Tha Tiger in Dublin and Turkey.
Deepika Padukone was honored with Entertainer of the Year Award at the event and Yash Chopra received a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Other Bollywood guests at the event included Jackie Shroff, Fardeen Khan, Subhash Ghai, Aadesh Srivastav, Hariharan, Sonu Nigam, Baba Siddiqui, Poonam Dhilon, Ramesh Sippy, Tabassum, Rohit Roy and Dolly Bindra.
The event marked the debut of the DY Patil Awards set up by Mumbai based D Y Patil Group in association with Bhamla Foundation.
