Dharmendra keen to see the entire Deol family in one frame

2011 has been a wonderful year for yesteryear icon Dharmendra. He started with a dramatic comedy YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA, which was kind of a tribute for his contribution to the Hindi film industry for 50 glorious years. And now he will be seen in a yet another beautiful film TELL ME O KKHUDA. However, what makes it all the more special is the fact that Dharmendra, who's only worked with his sons (Sunny and Bobby Deol) till date, for the first time will be seen sharing screen with daughter Esha Deol. And if this was not enough the film is directed and produced by his beloved wife Hema Malini.
When asked to Dharamji about this special moment to which he humbly replied, "It's just a time. There are good and there are bad times. Ups and downs are a part of life and every person goes through it. Bas Himmat rakhni chhaiye aur jee jaan se jena chhaiye. Life is a beautiful struggle. And I feel the amount of love people have given me for YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA with Sunny and Bobby the same they will shower on Esha too. We started on a good note with YAMLA and hope we end well with TELL ME O KKHUDA."

Ask him about his experience working with daughter Esha and he says, "It is nice. See, while working we are just actors and directors. Our entire focus is on work. Sunny and Bobby are usually scared of me but when it comes to work we just forget about the relationships and get into the skin of the character. My nature is such everyone feels comfortable and easy to work with me. This is the result even after 50 years I alive in audiences' heart. So I believe in live to love and love to live.

From ages we have loved watching the best on-screen jodi Hemaji and Dharamji together. However this time around Dharamji and Hemaji, rather than working as co-stars, are seen in actor-director capacity. Ask him about getting directed by Hemaji and he says, "See I am director's actor. So when someone has taken the reigns of direction I don't interfere. I just forget and completely handover myself to the director. At that point of time the director is the captain of the ship and I work according to a director's judgment. Yes, but I did provide for suggestions and also wrote a very emotional tear-jerking scene for the film."

Dharamji is also keen to see the entire Deol family in one frame, provided a good script comes his way. "I know everyone wishes us to see together but it's the script which decides the success of any film. If we get a good script we'll definitely work over it," says the warm actor on a parting note.
